Mark you calendars for September 5, 2010 and start putting in some extra miles to get ready for the 10th Annual Dakota Five-O. The Five-O is more than just an epic 50 mile bike race. Come out to camp in Spearfish the night before, race, then kick back and enjoy music, prize giveaways, food, and more. Check out the Ridge Riders website for more info.
Let’s get together at the Canyon Lake Chophouse on April 16th at 5:30 PM to enjoy a catered event with fellow riders. You can renew your membership or join, meet the 2010 sponsors, get info on trail building, races, events, and more. There will be a new members raffle, complimentary Fat Tire beer from New Belgium, and bike movies. The cost is $15 per person, 11 and under free.
Head out to Pierre on May 22 for the LaFramboise Island mountain bike race. The race consists of multiple laps (depending on division) around a 5.7 mile course. For more information, contact John Simpson.
Online registration begins April 1 at www.laramieenduro.org. The race is on July 31. Check out the website for more details and to register. Proceeds benefit the Curt Gowdy Trail Fund and local bicycle related programs.
Three races will take place at Hanson Larsen Memorial Park (formerly M-Hill). Events will take place on Oct. 2, 16, and 30. More info will be posted shortly.
