The Black Hills Runner’s Club will be hosting a 10K trail run on October 10 at 10 AM at Buzzard’s Roost. This trail run is part of the BHRC Trail Series; $5 from each non-member entry fee will go towards helping the BHMBA build and maintain this and other trails in the area. The Hanson-Larsen park on M-Hill continues to grow thanks to Dave Dessel and various volunteers who’ve been working hard on a new trail on the west side of the hill. The trail is now connected from the road near the dirt jump park up to the M-West node on top of the hill near the M. Volunteers from BHMBA as well as other interested parties have been working with Dave on finishing the newly cut trail. Below are a few shots of the work:
If you’re free on Sunday, September 20, head on over to Sundance for the Bearlodge Mountain Classic mountain bike race. Registration starts at 7 AM, riders leave at 9 AM. Ride the 14 mile Beginner/Intermediate course or the 22 mile Epic. Check out the scgmba website for more info.
